Fade Out

A dissolve from a filmed shot to black, sometimes white, and once in a great while yellow, blue, or another color. This is used at 0.30 in the above clip. I think it was used here because it helps to create tension for the audience, because its cutting the scene off short, however with a soft cut, making them wonder what will happen next. And therefore influencing them to want to watch more.
