Score

A score is original music written to accompany the film/tv programme it was written for. The score forms part of the soundtrack which will also include dialogue and sound effects. Scores are written by composers under the direction of the director and/or producer. It is used in the above as it gives a definite end and beginning to the drama, also creating interest for the viewer.
